Edited by: Liberty Eternal on 02/01/2011 01:32:16 I have to say that leocaldari is a pro, not an easy trader to go up against.
That said, I'd really like to know what your method is for doing this, feel free to evemail it to me.

OrangeFlounder evemailed me in game and his method makes sense. I'm intrigued to know what leocaldari's 'evidence' is for considering this a bot.
My initial instinct is that OrangeFlounder and Leocaldari are actually following a mutually harmonious trading practise, yielding profits for both of them. But the 'method' of cooperation is competition, and the 'payment' of the cooperation is the profits they gain through this competition.
Only possible suggestion I can come up with is to maybe work together - it won't increase your profits, but it may lower the workload involved.

Well the truth is that we are all wearing the shackles of a false value system. Who gets to determine that bots are immoral anyway? It's ironic that we are all using computerised technology to play a game, but have banned computerised technology from making our lives easier in playing that game. Even at the forefront of scientific knolwedge, man remains intellectually stunted by narrow-minded dogma. We punish those who innovate and act logically, because the herd morality dictates it.

If you think using bots is 'logical' then the next step to that would be everyone using them. As this is a game, intended for fun, and supposed to contain a player driven market element, it's CCPs job to protect it's game from exploitation and to keep the game moving forward, not stagnating. It has nothing to do with "herd mentality" or 'intellectually stunting humanity' or some such, it's entirely to do with making the game work as a game.
I guess it's an English thing.

In an international online community, why would you "guess it's an English thing?"
No, I'm English. I thought the sarcasm in my post was obvious, but I guess not.

Can you explain what you mean by this statement? It's not possible to return both a profit and a loss.

Originally by: leocaldari some thoughts about "managing your orders"
seconds you need to check/modify ONE order:
01: 300s -> 5m 02: 600s -> 10m 05: 1500s -> 25m 10: 3000s -> 50m 20: 6000s -> 100m -> 1h 40m 30: 9000s -> 150m -> 2h 30m 60: 18000s -> 300m -> 5h
lol are you kidding? You can update more than one order every five minutes. That five-minute timer is only for changing that same order again. You can continue changing other orders...
